Thematic tales of courage and imagination.

Thematic tales of courage and imagination.

Brian Mulliner is a Tennessee-based author whose writing blends inspirational storytelling with the rich history and natural beauty of the Appalachian region. His works often explore themes of faith, healing, purpose, and transformation, inviting readers into journeys where the inward path is just as meaningful as the road traveled.

He is the author of The Enchanted Forest, a children’s fantasy filled with wonder and imagination, and The Waters of Awakening, a Christian historical fiction novel set in the early 1800s that weaves together frontier life, Cherokee heritage, and a deeply spiritual journey of identity and renewal.

Brian draws much of his inspiration from time spent in nature, personal reflection, and the stories of those who came before him. His writing is shaped by a lifelong love of storytelling and a desire to create meaningful narratives that encourage hope, faith, and connection. He lives in East Tennessee with his wife, Linda Sue, where he continues to write, explore the outdoors, and share stories that inspire the heart.

Dr. Joseph James is a devoted father of two wonderful adult daughters and a man whose life is deeply shaped by faith.

He embraces every opportunity to spend time outdoors, where he finds both renewal and perspective. Committed to living with vitality, Joseph makes fitness a priority, focusing more on exercise than diet, so he can remain strong for all that life still has to offer. He also enjoys the challenge and camaraderie of board games, provided there is enough cognitive bandwidth at the end of the day.

Joseph’s faith not only defines who he is but also guides what he does, influencing both his personal choices and professional calling. In 2010, he earned his doctorate in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, launching a career that has included consulting and leadership roles in major corporations as well as public service dedicated to supporting small businesses in North Carolina. Through his work, he combines a passion for people, organizational health, and community impact with a steady commitment to servant leadership.
